Hotel Solamar

I went to San Diego with Lorenz for comic con and met up with some of my friends. Comic con was really nerdy, fun, and overwhelming lol ... but I really wanted to take this time to blog about our hotel! We stayed at hotel Solamar located in the heart of San Diego ~ the Gaslamp District! It was so convenient staying there, because it was walking distance to the convention center and all the little shops around Gaslamp! The best thing about this hotel is that it was pretty affordable! We payed about $120 for one night .. and that one night included a big hot tub, a bar and pool on the roof, and a free drink at the bar! For dinner we walked to the Oceanaire restaurant and got this Alaskan mud slide for dessert! Look at the pic all the way at the bottom! It was literally on fire!! haha.. It had a swirl of rum around the marshmallows. Pretty and yummy! On the way home we stopped by the beautiful Balboa park! Dang, that place was huge! It took a lot of walking to explore the whole park! I hated how the Japanese garden required a fee for admission. That was sooo lame, because the Japanese garden wasn't even that pretty! It was so freakin small. The one at my school looks better and it's free! However, all in all ~ the park as a whole was still incredible!
