Shiki No Uta

I absolutely love how "Cowboy Bebop" & "Samurai Champloo" present their stories in a mixture of hip hop and jazz. I was going through some of my old CDs the other day and I ran into "The Real Folk Blues" and "Shiki No Uta." Listening to those songs kind of took me back to high school when those animes were popular with some of my friends. I found this youtube video of a cover of "Shiki No Uta" from "Samurai Champloo." This is such a good cover!!! The guy plays the guitar really well .. & the girl sounds great in Japanese. I'm impressed how the girl followed the Japanese really well.. especially with Minmi's (the original singer) fast "sing-song" style.

Pause my background music on the side and watch this cover of "Shiki No Uta"

Window shopping

Expensive shit I want, but can't afford.

1. Classic Chanel Flap bag in Jumbo Caviar. Ugh! I really want this bag.. but unfortunately this bag cost over $2000. ... & I really, really, REALLY don't understand that! I can buy an entirely new wardrobe for that much money!

2. Lenses . lots & lots of lenses for my camera.

3. Miu Miu Vitello Lux Satchel. ... cheaper than Chanel ....but still freakin expensive!

4. Dauphine Velvet Headboard + a new comfortable bed (preferably my ate Arlene's bed.. & if you are reading this.. can you just buy a new bed and give me your bed? What a wonderful Christmas present thanks!)

5. "Hitchcock" bag from Jenny Yuen (Jennywashere.com)

Cute without the E

I got a tragic hair cut a couple days ago. It was completely uneven and exactly not how I wanted it. My mom hated it and ended up cutting it even more. Now it's shorter than what I had hoped for... but it's okay... at least it looked better than the first hair cut I got. I really do miss my long hair though. =( It use to cover my face like the picture on the right! haha.. yikes.. kinda like The Grudge! muhahaha Anyways, I should really get back to doing my homework and cleaning my room. I really shouldn't be on this blogger! I'll be back later!

michelle oh michelle

Michelle Williams is so cute! I've never really watched any of her movies... I just really like the way she looks. haha. When I was in high school I was obsessed with the purple dress she wore to the Golden Globes. (?) I looove ruffles!!!.. & that purple dress she wore just looked so fun and cute! I bought the fabric from Joann's & had my Build-A-Bear manager make it for me! It didn't turn out exactly like Michelle's dress.. but it was close enough! I loved it, but it was really heavy to dance with! Here are more photos!

& this was my dress... I think this was from Prom 2006

The Best Feeling

I have a great uncle who (i think) suffers from post traumatic stress. I see him quite often, but I don't know much about him. When I was younger I use to pay him frequent visits to the hospital. Apparently, he was always trying to commit some sort of suicidal attempt. It's really weird how I feel about this whole thing. Maybe because I was exposed to this so much at such a young age that it doesn't really feel like a big deal to me. I remember when I was a kid and my dad told me we had to visit my uncle at the hospital ... I would have some kind of attitude like.. "ughhh again.." & while we were there.. I would be so eager to go because it was just "sooo boring." .. Gosh I just wanna smack myself for being like that. My great uncle fought in the Vietnam war. He doesn't talk much, always carries a blunt face, and just sits around. During my cousin's wedding reception a few weeks ago, I decided to grab my uncle's hand and drag him to the dance floor. For that one moment it felt like the best feeling in the world! I swear I've never seem him smile so much before! It just made me so happy to make him feel happy. After a few dances with my uncle, I dragged my shy-@ss dad to the dance floor. That's a picture of me dancing with my dad.
