Yosemite!
Before I started my new job, Lorenz and I went on a summer road trip to Sonora, Yosemite, and SF! It was surprisingly one of the best adventures of my life, considering the fact that these places weren't too far from home. We stayed with Mitch and Susan, a lovely couple with cute dogs in Sonora. They were such a wonderful host that we found through Airbnb. Lorenz and I hiked to the top of Half Dome! I still cannot belive I actually made it up there and back. One of the most unforgettable experiences ever! I felt like I pushed my limits and learned some things about myself I never knew. Yosemite was so beautiful and I can't wait to visit it again another day!

BIG SUR
It's already fall, but I'm posting about summer. Lorenz and I went on a day trip to Big Sur around August. We were hoping to stay at the Madonna Inn, but every afordable hotel was booked, because of some kind of dog show. Regardless, it was still an amazing adventure! Big Sur itself was just such an interesting place. It's located along a scenic highway that overlooks the central California coast. Driving through there was simply breathtaking...One of the most beautiful drives of my life! We visited this magical place called McWay Falls! Sucks we couldn't actually go down there, but there was something about just looking at it that made it so ... i don't know.. like a dream/mistical paradise. Haha.. I don't even know if that makes sense. We also passed by Bixby bridge and then made our way to San Luis Obispo to see Bubblegum Alley and eat at Splash Cafe of course!
This is McWay Falls! Beautiful isn't it?? Got this photo from BigSurCalifornia.org ~ I regret not bringing my real camera that day! My phone just didn't do justice!

When did it become September?!
August was definitely a crazy month! I still can't believe it's already September! So much has happened during the past month and I'm just so thankful for all the blessings and even the not so good things. After 3.5 years, I finally left my old job and finally got a new job for an industry I've been dreaming to work in! I went on a road trip to Sonora, Yosemite, and San Francisco. I even climbed to the top of Half Dome ~ which I still can't believe!! Two days ago I experienced my first car accident. The damage to the cars were pretty bad, but everyone was safe! I'm still trying to recover from the impact. Even though getting into a car accident really sucked, it was like a blessing in disguise. It made me realize how important my loved ones were to me and just made me really thankful for all the simple things in life. I'm just so happy I'm able to write in this blog right now. I have working fingers, eyes, feet ... I'm just so thankful for that. Anyways, I can't wait for what September has to bring. I know that it'll definitely be a challenging month learning new things and trying to adjust to a whole new environment. Bring it on, Life!

Transmission LA: AV CLUB
I had so much fun at this exhibit! It was curated by Mike D from the Beastie Boys! All the pieces focused on invigorating our sight and sound (hence the name AV Club - Audio & Visual). I also loved how Lorenz showed up to my house all dressed up without me asking him to. It was so cute. haha ... oh yea, and the exhibit was free!!

SPRINKLES
It was just one of those nights when I couldn't resist the cravings. Got my bag and headed to Beverly Hills just for some Red Velvet cupcakes. I was so excited to try the new Sprinkles Cupcake ATM!! It's kind of funny .. it even has its own theme song. Even though it's in a vending machine, the cupcake still tasted fresh. There's also a Sprinkles Ice Cream coming soon! Uh oh..
Yayoi Kusama
I absolutely love Yayoi Kusama!! My dream is to see one of her exhibits one day!! Oh, what I would give to fly to London right now just to see her current exhibition at the Tate Modern. I'm so inspired by her work that I even painted polka dots in my bedroom wall. I might just have to fly back to New York in July just so I can see her upcoming exhibition at the Whitney!

NEW YORK DIARY
What can I say? New York was so amazing! The city was bursting with creativity, youth, culture, and diversity. It was very urban, busy, and had the most beautiful architecture. I think I spent most of my time eating. There was way too much good food.
Some facts about my trip:
-Acoustics are amazing in the subways
-You are definitely a tourist if you follow the crosswalk
-The weather in the city is colder than what it says on the iPhone! It doesn't take note of all the shade from the tall buildings and the strong winds! I freakin froze my California ass during the trip.
-Some serious walking.
