yowayowa

I am soooooo in love with this girl's blog! I'm so inspired by it!! I love her levitating self portraits and the clothes she wears in all of them! Her cats are so precious too ... makes me want to get a black cat when I have my own place. Sigh...

like the movies

Oh no! Another Katy Perry song that I absolutely love. gah! I can't help it .. so there. Haha This music video has nothing to do with this song, so don't mind it. Just listen! Gah~ I think Katy Perry has become my ultimate GUILTY pleasure. I never thought I would succumb to this. lol

grass growing at the corners of my bed

I went hiking at the Los Liones hiking trail with Lorenz the other day. It was such a beautiful Fern Gully - esque hike that overlooked the ocean. Unfortunately, I had class at 3PM, and the peak of the hike takes about 4 hours to get to. We only made it about 2 miles up to the first view point and then made our way back down. I didn't want to be late to class and I was really hungry too. haha. soooo... We just went to the Santa Monica pier and ate some fish and chips, clam chowder, and shrimp cocktail. SOOOOOO delicious! Hopefully, we'll make it back up there this weekend and finish that darn hike!! It was really beautiful!!

BLD

I went on a little brunch date with Lorenz right before I had to go to school. We went to BLD near the Grove and had some delicious food!! I got the Bruleed Grapefruit and the Ricotta Blueberry pancakes. I really liked the grapefruit, but the pancakes were a little too overrated for me. I was reading some Yelp reviews and so many people were saying that they were seriously, "to die for." ummm.. not really. haha.. They were all right. Lorenz got the Braised Pork and Poached Eggs ... now that was really good!! I want more!!

Suprasensorial: Experiments in Light, Color, and Space

I'm so glad I got to see this awesome exhibit at the Moca! I loved how the art wasn't just something you looked at, but something you actual became part of. It was very interactive ~ like stepping into a room of light, walking through blue strings, or swimming in the pool. It was a fun experience & definitely worth the visit.

My dinner date with Pia

It's shabu shabu weather!!! I finally had some catching up time with my friend, Pia. We went to Kushi Shabu in Little Tokyo and talked about everything that's been happening with our lives. I looove their lychee ice cream & fruit bowl at this restaurant. It's so yummy! We also went on top of the roof of the hotel in that plaza ~ it had a cute little garden and a view of the LA buildings.

happy face

I love it when Lorenz surprises me with sweet, little things. ~ Stuff like ~ Tulips .. my favorite flowers .. or mini garlic croissants that I can't stop munching on .. or even just a little note that says, "I love you, let's have lunch." :) These are things that make me happy face. The sweetest part about it is that he surprises me for absolutely no apparent reason. It's not our anniversary, it's not Valentine's day, ... it's just ANOTHER day. This post is dedicated to him and how much I appreciate all that he does.

PS: someone really needs to show me how to upload in full quality. Here's a little video showing a cake that Lorenz got me with candles that glow in the same color as the candle itself. This video doesn't really do any justice.. haha, but it's ok. enjoy!

sweet

I was on my lunch break for work and I decided to stop by Whole Foods for lunch. My oh my did I come out with something more than just my usual chicken and rice. They had the cutest little baked goods!!! Mini tarts, mini cupcakes, mini everything!!! I couldn't resist the cuteness, so I just had to buy some.

a dog house with no dog :(

Photobucket

P-Dong died last week. Even though I didn't have him for that long I still got really attached to him. He was such a bipolar dog .. very grumpy at times and very protected over his food. ~ But on sunny days, his face would light up and he loved to play. I took him to the park one time and it was like heaven to him! I think he really had a good time! Gosh, I'm really heart broken over his death. I hate how it was raining. I hate how my mom didn't care. I hate how I found him. And I hate how I found out. Everything was a mess that week. I heard bad news every single day. Ugh.. but this is what broke me the most. It sucks walking outside my house now and routinely looking to the right where he would be, but he's not there. There's still some empty dog bowls around my house and even his favorite slippers. I miss you P-Dong. I hope you had a good life.

almond milk tea

i apologize for being a really bad blogger. I take forever to update this thing. anyways, here's a little snippet of me having some almond milk tea at this dim sum place in alhambra. This is like my favorite dim sum place!!.. I think it's called Capitol Seafood??.. My sister ordered this almond milk tea one time and I was sooo shocked that it was tea! I thought it was some sort of soup, because of the bread on top. It was so good that I had to go back to that place with Lorenz just to have some!! I'm craving it right now. eeep!

seven henrietta street, a film by kinga burza for kate spade new york

Got this video from Marielle ~

this is the story of a charming girl
she laughs out loud, sings off key and believes in taking chances
she is quick and curious and playful and strong
she lets her imagination run away with her
she has never been one to stick to convention
she is fond of daydreams that take her places
she can order a cocktail in six different languages
she feels that understated is overrated
