Troop Beverly Hills

Because of my friend Faye, I totally had to re-watch Troop Beverly Hills. I completely forgot about how much I loved this movie! It's so silly and somewhat corny, but it's still fun to watch! I streamed it on Youtube and re-watched the entire movie. I was surprised how good the quality was on Youtube!

As I was looking through pictures to put on my blog, I stumbled upon Jenny Lewis. I was like... okayyy... so what does Jenny Lewis have to do with Troop Beverly Hills? It turns out that Jenny Lewis played the main daughter Hannah in the movie! Lol I had no idea!!!

Take my sweater

I absolutely love this girl's cover of Ingrid's The Way I Am. Her name is Marie and she's only 16 years old! She's s so cute and talented! Listen as you scroll through the rest of my blog posts! ^^

Magnolia Blvd.

I went walking around Magnolia Blvd. the other day for their "girl's night out" vintage sales. I didn't buy anything, but it was nice to visit each store to check out their stuff. I'm on a hunt for a wearable everyday short, vintage kimono. I've ran into a bunch, but can't seem to find the perfect one. I liked how each store had complimentary snacks and drinks. Some stores even had a little band playing inside while you shop. I love store pets and I bumped into a cute dog in one of the stores. She just wanted to be pet! ^^ Anyways .. I think Magnolia Blvd has this event going on every last Friday of the month. It's very low key, but you should check it out if you ever get the chance.

Hotel Solamar

I went to San Diego with Lorenz for comic con and met up with some of my friends. Comic con was really nerdy, fun, and overwhelming lol ... but I really wanted to take this time to blog about our hotel! We stayed at hotel Solamar located in the heart of San Diego ~ the Gaslamp District! It was so convenient staying there, because it was walking distance to the convention center and all the little shops around Gaslamp! The best thing about this hotel is that it was pretty affordable! We payed about $120 for one night .. and that one night included a big hot tub, a bar and pool on the roof, and a free drink at the bar! For dinner we walked to the Oceanaire restaurant and got this Alaskan mud slide for dessert! Look at the pic all the way at the bottom! It was literally on fire!! haha.. It had a swirl of rum around the marshmallows. Pretty and yummy! On the way home we stopped by the beautiful Balboa park! Dang, that place was huge! It took a lot of walking to explore the whole park! I hated how the Japanese garden required a fee for admission. That was sooo lame, because the Japanese garden wasn't even that pretty! It was so freakin small. The one at my school looks better and it's free! However, all in all ~ the park as a whole was still incredible!

Tour de LA

My cousin Joanna visited from Washington about a week ago! I gave her a tour of LA! Here's a list of places we went to:

1. Hollywood & Highland to see the Chinese Mann Theater, Walk of fame, Wax museum.. etc.
2. Angels Knoll Park where 500 days of summer was filmed.
3. Chinatown for some Yang Chow
4. The Observatory for the Planetarium show and the nice view *_*
5. The Americana at Brand for some shopping and trolly riding. hehe
6. Umami Burger at Space 15 Twenty.
7. Venice Beach boardwalk and the beautiful Venice canals!
8. Santa Monica 3rd st. Promenade for Urban Outfitters. Ok~ we went to a lot of Urbans, because only selected stores were having a 50% sale off the sale! lol
9. Beverly Hills for Rodeo Drive and Sprinkles cupcakes!
10. Little Tokyo!
11. LACMA!
11. The Walt Disney Concert Hall to admire the beautiful architecture!

I think that pretty much sums up what we did. I'm not sure if I forgot anything .. It's so hard to keep track! lol Anyways, I have tons of pictures that I've posted on FB regarding her visit! If you want to explore LA here's a helpful link that gave me tons of ideas!: 100 Free Things to do in LA

Rocket Fizz

If you haven't checked out Rocket Fizz yet then now is the time to do so! This place reeks of sugar, nostalgia, and more sugar. haha.. They have every kind of soda pop you can imagine! I first discovered this place in Camarillo. Lorenz goes surfing in Malibu with his cousin that lives in Camarillo every weekend. We were driving to the outlets one time and we saw this curious, little place called Rocket Fizz. I yelped it and thought it interesting! I was bummed that Rocket Fizz was so far from my house. :( Then one day I was in Pasadena eating at the "father of all buns" ~ Paparich! Across from it I spotted another Rocket Fizz! haha YAY. Then the other day I was walking around Magnolia Blvd in Burbank and yet again!~ another Rocket Fizz! I went inside for some taffy refill and they were having a movie night. I don't remember the movie they were playing, but it looked really cute. I love this cute little candy store! It brings out the kid in everyone! ^^

munch munch

Pia came back from Mexico with souvenirs and a tan! haha We ate at Auntie Ems Kitchen for lunch on Eagle Rock blvd. I really wanted to get their biscuits and gravy, but they only have that on weekends. :( The food that we got was pretty good, but very small. They remodeled the place! The cheese marketplace looked a lot different the last time I went.
