Downtown El Ey

I had lunch with Lorenz at Bottega Louie in downtown LA last Friday. The food was delicious, but the place was really packed and noisy. We ordered meatball sliders w/ garlic fries, portobello fries, and some mini danishes from the counter. The portobello fries were so good!! Try them if you ever go there! I also got a box of macaroons, but the filling didn't taste that great. x__x The place was amazing though! High ceilings, a bar, a mini market deli, and bakery. Afterwards, we walked over to Angels Knoll park where 500 Days of Summer was filmed. I sat at Tom's favorite spot!

messy room, creative mind

Ok.. this is really embarrassing ~ but watever. My room got to a point where it was such a mess that I could barely find floor to walk on! Having a messy room makes me lose focus and creates so much stress in my life! That's really not good ~ specially since I have finals this week! .. SOOOO... I decided to clean it. x___x haha.. but I AM still in defense that having a messy room is a sign of potential genius! LOL A messy room can only be interpreted by the one who made it! To the untrained eye it's chaos, but to the experienced eye it has organization, even though it lacks order. LOL

1. An old silver locket my sister (arlene) got for me years ago! It's sucha cool locket, because it's capable of holding 5 photos and it folds into this little ball pendant. .. Hehe.. and that's me eating my chocolate lollipop, ^^

2. Pictures of EXs!!!! HAHAHA!! From Left to right: Gina & Mark, Me & Jason, June & Francis. My girlfriends and I were in such serious relationships with these guys throughout high school + some of college. My goodness... these are so old!! O_O I look so different in my picture! I took that when I was probably like 14.. x__x I don't even remember! lol

Lorenz and I were trying to kill time at Amoeba Records before watching Iron Man 2 the other week. What better way to kill time than taking pictures with album heads!? hehe... The last picture is Lorenz's sister ~ Teena's ~ portrait. -___- We are such dorks.

I started this month off by attending Eddie and Ricci's wedding. This is a super late post about their wedding ~ but the crazy booth photos just came in! hehe.. They have such cuuuute & really fun pictures by photographer Norman Yu. I love how he set up a "crazy booth" where anyone could take pictures!

hehe ~ that was fun! Anyways, a lot of people kept asking me where I got my outfit from. Thank you to everyone who complimented my dress! ^^ hehe ... I've had it in my closet for a while, but never found a chance to wear it. I got my dress from Topshop, my shoes from Sychelles, and my necklace from Anthropologie! I don't know if Topshop still sells that dress, but you could probably find it on ebay! ^^

I finally did it!! I finally got to go skydiving!! I've been wanting to do this for soooo long and I'm so happy to finally be able to do it! Every year I've been trying to get a group of my friends to go, but for some reason it never works out. Sooo ~ I was kinda just like.. "fuck it, I'm gonna go anyway." haha. I went with my boyfriend, Lorenz, and we both had a blast!! We went skydiving at Skydive San Diego! The people there were really awesome and made my experience worth every penny! My goodness... it's just sooo surreal. I remember after we landed Lorenz and I just kept saying to each other, "I can't believe we just jumped out of a plane 13,000ft!" haha.. the feeling up there was so unexplainable! I guess to know how it feels ~ you just gotta go try it! The only downside about it for me was the motion sickness I got afterwards. After we landed and got back to our car, I really started to feel nauseated. It wasn't as bad as parasailing though. It only took a couple minutes, some french fries, and a cold sprite to get me back to normal. lol The adrenaline rush was so high that Lorenz and I knocked out somewhere under a shade. I can't wait for them to send me my video so I can watch my whole experience!! I really want to do it again! .. and eventually a solo dive! It would be such a cool hobby!!.. but gosh.. wayy too expensive! HAHA

I've been really into split tees for some reason. I feel like it gives any shirt or blouse a more playful look that could be worn by day or night. I found some really cute ones I've been oogling on Nasty Gal! They have some really cute new or vintage clothes! Pretty pricy for a poor college student like me though ~ but I still like looking at them. :) hehe

Ugh.. I can't help it. Why am I so into such tacky shit? LOL.. I love chunky, sparkly, tacky ass iphone cases. It's kinda like the same feeling with the tacky fake nails I like. hehe The glittery sparkles just catch my eye! *_* I have a pink rhinestone case on my iphone right now and I'm getting really sick of it, so I ordered 3 other iphone cases on ebay. -__- .. yes.. THREE. sighh.. I couldn't decide. Plus, they were super cheap.. like I paid just $2 for one case. ^^ I really like the Swarovski iphone cases they sell on ebay, but they are just way too expensive. =( I love the way they shine! They are so sparkly!

Below are some old photos of my mom. I met her when I was turning 7. Before I knew her I always wondered what she was like. She would call me in Philippines every Sunday afternoon to talk to me. I remember the first time I finally met her at LAX, she was standing and staring at me from afar. Then she ran to me, carried me, and ran all the way with me to the car. I felt her tears coming down on my shoulder while she was running. That was the first time I ever understood happiness. ^-^ I'm always thankful to finally be home. Happy mother's day mom!

I also want to take this time to thank one of the most amazing mothers I've ever known - my tita Melda. She took care of me while I was in Philippines and treated me as if I were her own child. There's not one single day that passes when I don't think of her. I love her and miss her so much. If I could have one thing in the world right now all I would want is to see her and talk to her one last time. I just want to say I'm sorry for not understanding what she was going through when I was younger. I want her to know how thankful I am for being strong for me and taking care of me, when she was the one in need of being taken care of. Tita Melda ~ I love you and I can't wait to see you in Heaven.

in my comic spirit class my professor was surprisingly talking about love. He said something like....

Anywayyysss... I'm going skydiving next week!!... May 13 to be exact! I'm so freakin scared/nervous/anxious/excited. AHHH! When I'm in class I think about it and it makes me lose focus! I can't help it!! It's so intense! haha I guess there's no turning back now, cuz Lorenz just made a reservation and a deposit for the both of us. We were suppose to go with a group of people, but everyone backed out! :( Oh well. This is something I need to cross off on my list of things to do before I die. If I die doing it... then so be it. lol My work is giving me a paid week vacation next week (which is an awesome benefit of a part time job) !! .. so I'm taking advantage of one of my days off by going skydiving! ahhhh! My heart is pounding! I'm reeeally afraid of heights and I guess this is my way of conquering it! hehe.. maybe I can use this experience for my future job interviews! LOL .. wish me luck!
