Le Pain Quotidien

On my days off of work I have a little bit of time in the morning to spare before I go to class. A couple weeks ago, I had brunch with Lorenz at this place in Pasadena called Le Pain Quotidien. It was a pretty cute restaurant that served the spreads I've been wanting to try! They had the Brunette, Blondie, Noir, Noisella, and a bunch of other spreads. They served a lot of delicious, healthy foods. When I got my lemonade I thought it was going to be sweet ... like you know~ the Muscle Beach / Hot Dog on a Stick kind. But NOPE! .. It was purely fresh squeezed lemonade. A little sour~ but healthy. I killed the healthiness by adding like 4 packs of sugar in it though. >< I wouldn't mind going back there again. :>

YUP. No.. seriously!

I'm actually at the school library right now writing this post! I've been sooooo swamped with group projects ... it's not even funny! I'm taking 4 classes and I have a group for each freakin class! Presentation after presentation after paper after paper. Sometimes we have breaks in between called Test days. Yup! So fun! I have one tomorrow!

I looove tapioca milk tea from Boba Loca! ONLY Boba Loca ~ I don't know why. They just make it so perfectly good there. Lorenz took me to school the other day and I was so happy we stopped by this place on the way home! Yummmminess!!!

vacation all i've ever wanted

Spring break! Lorenz and I only had two days off together~ so we wanted to make the most of it! Our plan was pretty spontaneous! We booked the hotel and hot air balloon ride only 48 hours before we left. haha I've always wanted to ride a hot air balloon and I'm so glad we did it! It was such a relaxing and scenic ride! I loved every minute of it! The only down side was having to wake up at 3:30 in the morning to get there in time for the sunrise flight. There was a complimentary breakfast waiting for us when we landed! We stayed at ACE hotel in Palm Springs! I had absolutely no idea that this hotel was going to be so hip and trendy! haha .. It's like the "urban outfitters" of hotels. lol (if that makes any sense?) On the way back home we stopped by Joshua Tree! UGH.. FINALLY! haha.. I remember driving all the way over there last year and we didn't even get to explore the park cuz it was so dark! This trip was short, but so much fun!! I think we really made the most of it! Time to save for another trip!

Sucker Punch

Okay, so it wasn't the best movie. It was almost like Inception gone wrong. The dream within a dream thing was sloppy and poorly executed. The story had so much potential, but it fell flat towards the end. HOWEVER... What I DID love about the movie was how pretty it looked. I loved the sparkle, the action, the effects, the cute girls, and most of all.. the costumes! Ugh.. I'm so in love with every single one of their costumes. It looked very anime inspired ~ and what I use to dream of when I would draw character designs in my sketchbook. If you know me.. I'm obsessed with Final Fantasy! Ha ha.. it's my inner nerd .. and my dream world. Sigh.... The costumes in Sucker Punch reminded me so much of the girls of FFX-2 meets Tomb Raider. From Amber's Lollipop to the charms on Babydoll's gun ...*GUUSHH* .. I'm in LOVE! haha .. I wish I could wear Babydoll's costume for Halloween. (I actually found a legit one on Etsy.. but it's like $300 made to size)... but that means I would have to lose all my belly fat, which is impossible since I freakin love food. Sigh...
